Bamdad Khamar (سریال بامداد خمار)
Bamdade Khomar is an Iranian historical romance series directed by Narges Abyar and produced by Mohammad Hossein Ghasemi. The series is adapted from Fataneh Haj Seyed Javadi’s widely read novel of the same name.
Set in old Tehran, the story follows Mahboubeh, a young woman from a wealthy and respected family who falls in love with Rahim, an apprentice carpenter from a different social class. Despite strong opposition from her family, Mahboubeh refuses to abandon the relationship and chooses to follow her emotions.
Her decision gradually reveals the conflict between romantic expectations and everyday reality. The story explores love, family pressure, social inequality, tradition, and the consequences of choices made during youth.
Bamdade Khomar combines an emotional love story with a detailed representation of traditional Tehran. Its costumes, locations, social customs, and family relationships help create the atmosphere of an earlier period in Iranian society.
Rather than presenting love as a simple solution, the series examines how differences in upbringing, education, family values, and social position can influence a relationship.
The series may appeal to viewers who enjoy historical dramas, emotional storytelling, literary adaptations, and complicated family relationships. Its central story raises an enduring question: can love alone overcome deep cultural and social differences?
Bamdade Khomar is available through the Sheyda streaming platform. Episodes and viewing information on this page are updated as new content becomes available.
