Marde Einaki (فیلم ایرانی مرد عینکی) The Man with Glasses is an Iranian action-comedy directed by Karim Amini, written by Hamzeh Salehi, and produced by Seyed Ebrahim Aamerian. The film follows an ordinary worker whose resemblance to a wanted criminal suddenly turns his difficult life into an international adventure.
Halim Rayegan earns a modest living by cleaning a public restroom in a city park. After charging visitors for using the facilities, he loses his job. His angry public protest attracts attention online and eventually leads to his arrest.
While in custody, Halim discovers something unbelievable: he looks almost identical to a dangerous international criminal known as Wolf. A large reward has been announced for Wolf’s capture, and Halim’s photograph is mistakenly connected to the wanted man.
The misunderstanding quickly spreads beyond the police station. Criminal groups, opportunists, and even members of Halim’s own family begin viewing him as a way to obtain the reward. With no experience in crime or international affairs, Halim must escape people who refuse to believe his true identity.
What begins as a local disagreement develops into a chaotic journey filled with pursuits, mistaken identities, and unexpected confrontations. Halim is forced to become more resourceful as he tries to discover why he resembles Wolf and how he can return to his normal life.
Bahram Afshari leads the film as Halim. The cast also includes Mehdi Hashemi, Houman Haji Abdollahi, Sam Nouri, Adriano Tolosa, Mohammad Heidari, Amir Karbalai-Zadeh, and Yadollah Shadmani.
The film combines physical comedy, international action, and an unusual mistaken-identity story. It is suited to viewers looking for a fast-paced Iranian comedy with larger-scale adventures and a familiar cast.
