Saddam

صدام

Saddam (فیلم ایرانی صدام)Saddam is an Iranian historical comedy directed by Pedram Pouramiri and produced by Mojtaba Rashvand. Written by Pedram Pouramiri and Reza Fakhar, the film uses mistaken identity and political satire to tell a fictional story set during the Iran–Iraq War.

Story

Salah is a simple man of Iranian-Iraqi background whose appearance bears a remarkable resemblance to Saddam Hussein. His ordinary life changes when Iraqi officials notice this similarity and recruit him to serve as one of the dictator’s doubles.

After receiving a complete physical transformation, Salah is assigned a mission in Tehran. He must appear in front of cameras and convincingly imitate a powerful political figure, even though he lacks the confidence and experience required for such a dangerous role.

The situation becomes increasingly complicated when Salah reaches Iran. Unexpected encounters, misunderstandings, and personal emotions interfere with the carefully prepared operation. He soon discovers that looking like an influential leader gives him temporary authority but also places him in serious danger.

Caught between the people controlling the mission and those he meets in Tehran, Salah must find a way to protect himself without revealing his real identity. His efforts create a mixture of suspense, romance, and comic confusion.

Cast and Production

Reza Attaran plays Salah and his famous double, supported by Parinaz Izadyar, Azadeh Samadi, Abbas Jamshidifar, Amir Ahmad Ghazvini, Siavash Cheraghipour, and Mohammad Shiri.
